Candidate Highlight - Yan

Yan is one of our recent arrivals from Australia, she is currently placed with a lovely family in Kent. 

Hi 👋🏼 My name is Rhiannan but i’m better known as Yan! Im 31 and from Geelong, Australia 🇦🇺

I arrived in the UK early November & started with my family a week later! 
I’ve been working with children on and off for the last 11 years, mostly at summer camps in the US 🇺🇸

Why did i choose the UK? 
I chose the UK because i am lucky enough to already have friends all around here and thought it would be amazing to be closer to them! Also, being Aussie, I love the thought of having Europe right on my doorstep!! 

Where do you live now? 
I am living most of my week in Sevenoaks, Kent, Its a really cute laid back town with everything we need! 
on the weekends i also have the flexibility to stay in Central London as well 😊 

What is the best part about au pairing in the UK? 
So far the best part about Au Pairing is definitely getting to know my kids! They’re soo fun & caring and im excited to continue getting to know them. 

Top tips for future applicants? 
Be as honest and as detailed as you can in your application process. Go into as much detail as you can about your experience & even your expectations! Be as open as you can when meeting with families and remember that the positive and fun energy you put out you will receive back 😊
